I’m sure many of our readers would like to know more about particular individual gnomes, and if the topic of your creepy internet man-crush happens to be Patrick Benson, you’re in luck because today, we’re presenting an interview with this rising star in the RPG industry. Patrick and I made a pre-Thanksgiving weight loss bet with the stakes that the loser had to interview the winner. Patrick lost 3.07% of his starting weight. I lost only 2.77%. In a way though, I feel like the…

A few weeks ago, I reviewed Fiasco (here and here), by Bully Pulpit Games; a game about ordinary people, attempting ambitious plans, and flailing miserably. During and after my review, I had a chance to exchange emails with Fiasco’s creator Jason Morningstar, and got to ask Jason about his GMing philosophy, about his company Bully Pulpit Games, and of course about Fiasco. Jason, let us start by having you tell us a bit about yourself, how you got into RPG’s and what you are playing right…

This year’s Gencon was my second year attending. My first year, the decision to go was last minute and a few factors kept me from having a very good time. This year, I decided that i was going to make sure and enjoy myself. One of the ways I did that was by participating in Gencon’s VIG (Very Important Gamer) program. A few of the Gnomes had done the VIG before, and I’d heard good things about it from friends. What Is The VIG? The…

I Recently got a chance to ask James some questions about Corporation, as well as GMing, in general. About James James, can you tell us a bit about yourself, and your RPG background. I’m James Norbury. I live with my fiancée Ruth and my herd of animals in Swansea, a large industrial city in the UK where I work full time developing the…

Chances are good that as a GM, you’ve heard about Tact-Tiles (often mis-identified as Tac-Tiles): modular, interlocking dry-erase boards with built-in 1″ grids suitable for use with miniatures. And if you’re lucky enough to have bought a set while they were still being produced, you guard them with your life. I’ve used my set more or less constantly for over three years, and every single person I’ve gamed with has loved them; ditto with every gamer I’ve ever described them to, or discussed them with.…

D&D 4th Edition blog At Will recently interviewed several of the gnomes — DNAphil, Matthew, myself, Patrick, Scott and Telas — for their d12 Interviews series, and that interview has been posted today: d12 Interviews: Gnome Stew. The focus of the interview is on D&D 4e, and the hook, of course, is that we were asked 12 questions. We’re all felt hats and hot air, so naturally we had a great time answering them. We also couldn’t be happier joining the series after Levi Kornelson…
