Concern We broke for the holidays just before Christmas, but have been unable to get back together since. There are a lot of very good reasons, and much of the fault is mine–my schedule has become difficult to mesh given a series of events and conflicting opportunities. Another roadblock is that before Christmas we’d tentatively identified the next game, but the prep required made it a non-starter for the GM. It’s getting to be that time of year again where some shows I follow will finish their new episodes and I’ll have to wait until some time in 2010 for another new one. While I generally dislike the wait, I can certainly see the value in keeping the audience interested while managing resources. It’s simply not feasible to run a weekly series 52 times a year (soaps excepted, of course) and the writers, not too mention the viewership, would likely burn out. As a GM the most important tool you have is your creativity. Your creativity is what allows you to create amazing adventures, thrilling NPC’s, witty dialog, enthralling descriptions, and the ability to shape your game in response to your players.
