@BryanB - If epiphanies came on demand, I'd be a rich man. It's nice to be able to link to brilliant thoughts, wherever they come from and whenever they pop-up. Hiatuses are tough, particularly unplanned. I was looking and just realized that with Christmas and New Years on Thursdays, it's looking unlikely that I'll get in one last game this year. Not that I'll stop trying...

@Troy E. Taylor - I think Rob's advice is very clear-- and I agree, the flowchart picture contributes a lot to the post's clarity.
Reply

Rob's NPC advice is really insightful. Using the flow-charts to demonstrate NPC relationships is a great shorthand for keeping things straight -- especially in a mystery or political intrigue type campaign. I highly recommend bookmarking that page as a reference.
<a href="#" class="replyto" onclick="replyto('3243','Troy E.
That is a great list of links Scott. Your link to my list of ten is much appreciated; It goes to show that even I have an epiphany now and then. :)

As for the holiday hiatus, that was really sound advice coming from Phil. Based on past experience, I should have known that things would be chaotic. How chaotic? Well, even if our coastal player had been able to come this week, the other player (set to arrive late) would have had to cancel due to his son's football game being moved back two hours! There was no win.

As for the issues we had in October and November this year, I can only blame the conspiracies of tinkering gnomes. I think they need to go in your next vat of stew!
Reply
