Eureka is Now at the Printer

From the Engine Publishing blog:

As of 10:36 pm Mountain, just a couple of minutes ago, Eureka has been sent to the printer and a proof will shortly be headed back to me.

Holy shit, this feels weird.

It still doesn’t feel real, and likely won’t until I’m holding a copy in my hands, but Gnome Stew’s book, Eureka: 501 Adventure Plots to Inspire Game Masters, is real.

Nineteen awesome people poured their hearts into this book, and, having just finished reviewing the master PDF one final time, it shows. To everyone who helped make Eureka a reality: THANK YOU.

Working on this book over the past year has been an amazing experience. Despite it’s paucity of hot gnome-on-gnome woodcuts (don’t be coy, we know how you found this site), we hope you like it.

Masks: The Ultimate NPC Resource for Any RPG

Our second book, Masks: 1,000 Memorable NPCs for Any Roleplaying Game, is now available in print and PDF!

Reviewing Masks, RPG Blog II said, "Masks is a system-neutral, well-organized treasury of memorable, easy-to-use NPCs that will add to any Game Master’s arsenal."

Buy Masks now and start using it in your game tonight!

    Alea iacta est!! (The die has been cast!)

    We won’t know what will happen for a while, but this is a huge moment for those of us who have been working on this book.

    Whatever does happen, this has been an amazing experience so far, and I’m both honored and proud to be a part of this collaboration.

    OK, back to writing more GMing articles…

    Go away! I’m reading Eureka! I have no time to post comments!

    There’s so much in here that makes me want to run games, that it’s kind of like Viagra for RPGs.

  4. @Kurt “Telas” Schneider – Speaking of the phrase, I’ve been nursing an idea for a little while…

    @Matthew J. Neagley – “Viagra for RPGs,” I like that. ;-)

  5. It was exciting to write and interesting to read, even searching for flaws. It’s been an adventure– a good one, with great obstacles overcome– and soon we get to share the dragon’s hoard of words with the rest of the world.

    If I buy a copy of this at Gen Con, I expect to get many gnome signatures. :D

  7. @BryanB – Several of the gnomes will be at GenCon — at the same seminars, even. ;-)

    * 2:00-6:00 – RPG1013255 – A Stitch in Time, a multi-genre Savage Worlds game.

    Saturday 8/7:

    * 10:00-12:00 – SEM1009173 – Eureka! Cooking Up Adventure Plots with Gnome Stew,Come learn about our first book, and hang with Gnome Stew.
    * 1:00-3:00 – SEM1010602 – “With Great Power…” Leadership and the GM, a seminar on taking the reins.
